Our Mexican Riviera Cruise Getaway

Well, Marc and I finally took our first vacation together without having Paxton. Sunday afternoon, on March 11th, i put Pax down for a nap before we left. I tucked him in and said that id see him soon. He said, ok lobe you moooom. See ya. AND IT BROKE MY HEART. Especially knowing that when he wakes up, i won't be there to see him or scoop him up out of the bed. I would have to wait 8 days to see him. KILLED me. Ive never spent a night away from him. so it was hard. Once i cried, we all loaded up in the car, Chelsey, Randy, Marc, Mom and myself and headed to Long Beach. We got on our cruise and let me tell you, i was SOOOO excited. It would be a long blog post to talk about all 8 days but let me just tell you the highlights!

-Bought the Spa Package and spent almost every day in it sometimes twice a day. SO WORTH IT.
-Sunday and Monday was Sea Days. Tuesday and Wednesday was Cabo San Lucas. Thursday was Puerto Vallarta. Friday, Saturday and Sunday was Sea Days.
-1st day in Cabo we snuck into the Finisterra Resort and layer by the ocean and pools. And shopped
-Deep Sea Fished in Cabo. Saw a merlin and chased him for an hour trying to get him to bite. No luck. Skyped Paxton!
-In Puerto Vallarta, we went to Canopy River and did the zip line adventure. Afterwards, we went downtown old PV to shop. Marc and i WALKED the beach, back to the cruise ship. It didn't look took far but it was. Took us 3 1/2 hours with a fast paced walk. We WILL NEVER FORGET! haha. The only thing that made it better was that we saw baby SEA TURTLES getting released! We walked by right in time to see the last one go into the ocean. It was sweet. I have a video!

- We did the dine when you want time and we loved it. We also were able to celebrate the Boghs anniversary and our anniversary with being sung too and getting a yummy dessert!
- We learned how to make the animal towels and went to all the shows and comedy shows.
- We explored areas in the ship, you aren't supposed too haha
- I took Sammi's camera and it took AWFUL pictures :( darn it

All in all, it was a great trip. We had a blast and we're grateful for the opportunity we had to go! Cant wait to go again. Especially since I'm having HUGE cruise withdrawals. I miss it :(

My Brother is HOME!

My brother Brenden served a full-time mission in the beautiful Sydney, Australia mission for our church! It was a long but fast two years... if that makes ANY sense!! He came home on our 3 year Anniversary!! So it was nice to not just dwell on Marc and I that day! We left for LAX at 4:30am. His flight was supposed to come in at 6:35am. Well, it was late. Way late. Not the plane but the whole customs checkin. On the bonus side, i did see ORLANDO BLOOM!! and man, or women, he is WAY cuter in person! I was totally tongue tied once he looked me straight in the eyes. It was a beautiful, tender moment we shared haha. Anywho, Pax pooped his pants, and right when he did, Brenden comes walking out... OF COURSE! So i had to hustle and change him and then run to my brother! It was such a fun reunion. And it was cool to see Pax with his Uncle for the 1st time. Brenden did tell me that the last time he saw me i was fat. So now I'm not as fat. A compliment already, i love him! After LAX, we rushed over to the Long Beach airport cause Sissy was there waiting for us. So to make her feel special and to forgive us for being over an hour late, i took one of the signs that i made for Brenden, and made one for Sissy. It was great. Afterwards, we went to Ihop and had breakfast. Then we went home to decorate. And once we were home, Brenden unpacked and showed us his presents and to read his letter from his mission president. Later that night, we all met with the Stake President so Brenden could get released. I cried more at the release then i did when he was set apart. It was SO hard to see my brother shake, and cry when he was asked to take his name tag off. So heartbreaking. But he did it, of course and then we headed to the Mexico for dinner with family and friends! It was SO awesome to be together. And I'm SO thankful to have him back home. Safe and sound! Love you Brenden!

Sledding In Soldier Hollow

We got a smokin' hot deal to go sledding up in Soldier Hollow. So yesterday after Marc got off work, we headed up to meet our friends, the Phillip's!

A little side note: NEVER wear rain boots to go sledding in! My feet FROZE from the rubber! We went to the gift shop to get warmers and they helped a tad. Little did we know that they needed oxygen for a bit to warm up. So as soon as we got home and i took off my shoes, my feet were nice and TOASTY!!
